Press Release - January 19, 2009 FOR A WARMER “TET” On 17/01/2009 Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa together with its Management has held a trip to Khanh Son district to donate vnd 5,000,000 to Khanh Son hospital for patients’ canteen and distribute 50 gifts for poor patients with total amount vnd 8,500,000.
Khanh Son is a mountain district with 75% is Raglai ethic minority. Their main earning of living is planting with poverty ration of over 70%. There are average 50-60 patients on daily take an examination and treatment at Khanh Son hospital with a maximum meal voucher supported for free by Hospital is around vnd4000/person in which lack of nutritional value. Hospital director has called for supporting and contributing from community in order to increase the nutrition for poor patients. Besides donating money to hospital, Mr Felix Von Bodman – General Manager of Sunrise Nha Trang – hand directly 50 Tet giveaway to patients including rice, milk, noodle and cooking oil with hope that the poor patients will have a warmer Tet.
Sunrise hopes that by its leaderszhip in its community services for the less fortunate, it will set a precedence for the rest of the private sectors including hotels and resorts in Nha Trang to follow suite and create a much better living conditions for the poor in Nha Trang.
